Bio

Laura is a commended script writer and recovering stand up comedian. Ladies, her first radioplay is a fictionalised re-telling of an Edwardian scandal about public toilets, produced by the Wireless Theatre Company. It enjoyed a sell-out live recording starring Alison Steadman. 

She is an avid fan of serialised drama and sitcoms, with an obsessive ear for dialogue and “…an excellent talent for pacing, for controlling the slow release of information through a play” (feedback PapaTango New Writing Prize 2016)

Laura writes for stage, screen and audio (with an occasional sideline in science communication). Her first script, Minicab Detective, was short-listed for the 2014 Sitcom Mission prize and her second was long-listed for the BBC Writer’s room 2015 prize for sitcom writing.
